TEHRAN The United Nations Childrens Fund (UNICEF) and Tejarat Bank have started a campaign titled Disability belongs to me, not all of me which aims to empower kids with disabilities in Iran through raising awareness and fostering a supportive environment.This initiative highlights the commitment of both organizations to promoting addition, availability, and level playing fields for kids with specials needs in Iran, UNICEF website revealed in a press release on January 30.
The across the country fundraising project is designed to enhance children with specials needs lives.
The projects messages stress empowerment, self-respect, and inclusion for children with disabilities.This co-branded campaign will run across all Tejarat Bank branches, ATMs, Tejarat Bank consumer clubs, and digital platforms, motivating the general public to contribute to UNICEF.
UNICEF is working along with the Iranian federal government to provide quality, inclusive education for kids with specials needs through several initiatives, including: Improving the capability of pre-primary and main instructors to provide prompt interventions for kids with specials needs in mainstream schools.Expanding the coverage and quality of national screening systems for early special needs detection and referral.Promoting the adoption of disability-inclusive data collection techniques at institutional levels and developing functional information management systems for disability-related information.Facilitating access to assistive technologies and developing a nationwide assistive technology innovation cluster within Irans development community to improve access for kids with disabilities.Strengthening the capacity of adolescents with disabilities to get pertinent employability abilities and supporting their transition to significant employment.Enhancing nationwide intersectoral cooperation on the rights of kids with disabilities.Combating preconception and discrimination against children with specials needs through social behavioral modification initiatives.Between 2018 and 2021, UNICEF Iran and Tejarat Bank collaborated on several impactful efforts, consisting of the procurement of lightweight nebulizers for kids with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and the arrangement of important water quality equipment for flood-affected populations in Golestan and Khuzestan provinces.Building on this success, the 2 organizations restored their partnership in August 2023, declaring their dedication to enhancing childrens health, education and well-being over 3 years.
